Job Description:
  • Leads large complex technology programs containing multiple, interrelated projects targeting at achieving an overall business goal. A Program is defined as an LOB scale endeavor requiring multiple independent workstreams to accomplish a defined result. Leads programs from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, analysis, design development and implementation. Establishes project requirements, priorities, and deadlines. Ensures project is completed in accordance with all Risk, Architecture and other relevant firmwide guidelines. Coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects. Manages budget for assigned program, monitors program progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members. Role may also include people management responsibilities. Proficient in the following: (1) Project Task Estimation; (2) Resource Scheduling; (3) Risk Management; (4) Issue Management; (5) Adherence to Standard Project Lifecycle; (6) Budget / Financial Management including Business Case completion; (7) Evaluation of impact to Total Cost of Ownership for large complex technology programs with multiple simultaneous and interrelated projects This individual may lead several teams that may cross project boundaries, but typically will be responsible for both deliverables and projects
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • The Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) Project Management Group provide project management services to clients with qualified project management professionals that lead GTI programs and projects using Standard Project Management execution practices, tools and templates.
  • As a GTI IT Project Manager / Project Execution Lead, this individual will be responsible for the management of complex technology related programs and projects including LOB Technology demand, end user, network, distributed, mainframe, cyber security and real estate build out related services and technologies. These projects support the growth and operational stability of the JPMC business in addition to delivering enhanced technology and cost reductions into the operating environment. This is a senior role involved in the different stages of the success of a project including: the funding, planning, scheduling, implementation and tracking process
  • This individual will be driving the delivery of projects in the portfolio across all services working closely with multiple GTI & LOB technology teams while interfacing with senior managers and stakeholders in the organization. Strong leadership, excellent oral and written communications and the ability to remain calm and perform under pressure are a must have.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for running complex projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, on spec.
  • Manage project financials to include developing BC’s forecasting
  • 7+ years of IT Project Management experience, or relevant business or team leadership.
  • 5+ years’ experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard project management tools for financial and project reporting (i.e., Clarity, Beeline, etc.).
  • Formal project management training and discipline knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of technologies, systems, drivers and trends in global investment banking environments backed by a solid understanding of the banking industry fundamentals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, risk and security aspects.
  • Proven experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups.
  • Knowledge of Permit to Build and Permit to Operate.
  • Extensive experience with high dollar projects with a large amount of complexity and customer interface.
  • Expert at delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Extensive experience at presenting metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in working with Outside Service Providers/Vendors/Customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across functions and teams, up and down the chain of command.
  • Listening and gathering customer/user inputs. Simplifying complex topics for non-technical audiences and preparing quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders.
  • Ability to motivate Project team.
  • Strong analytic skills. Strong leadership skills. Strong negotiation skills. Strong knowledge of IT Environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in technology related area or equivalent experience.
