Duties:
Assist the US Controllers with monthly closing activities including but not limited to:
  • Prepare and post month end journal entries for commercial business in accordance with Accounting Policies and Procedures and internal controls
  • Headcount reporting
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Review, validate and prepare comments on month end close reports for FP&A and business partners including Sales, P&Ls, OpEx reports by cost center, variance analysis and reconcile project tracker
  • Create monthly management reporting on actual vs plan performance
  • Support various Business Partners on coding eBuy requisitions, ensure project tracker tools are updated monthly and updating gating on IOs in SAP PRISM
  • Assist in quarterly forecasts and annual budget processes including but not limited to:
  • Coordinate with Business Partners to create revised forecasts and annual budget on tactical program expenses
  • Update financial tools with revised forecast and budget
  • Ensure financial tools accurately reflect the requested headcount structure both in number of positions and dollars
  • Reconcile revised forecasts to prior forecast and assist Business Owners on understanding variances
  • Validate data, generate reports and create PowerPoint slides
  • Provide Business Partners with clear explanation on drivers of their revised plan enabling them to be prepared for presentations to US TA Head, NA Head MSOI and SGZ LT
  • Lead the financial controlling responsibilities on month end close and budget process for US Oncology while the Lead of US Oncology Controlling is out on paternity leave
  • Support internal audits as required
  • Provide assistance to the US MSOI Finance Team on a variety of complex, cross-functional, ad hoc projects and requests as needed
 
Experience: 6 to 9 years.
Skills:
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power-Point required
  • Experience with Management Reporting Systems
  • Controlling experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Full understanding of financial concepts and Controlling including experience in Revenues and Expense controlling
 
Knowledge of Hyperion, TM1 Cognos, SAP
The ability to work in fast paced environment and within a complex, matrix organization
Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management
 
Education:
  • The position requires a Finance or Accounting degree and 8 years or more experience in finance or related disciplines with exposure
  • CPA or MBA preferred
