Duration:             9+ months contract (possible extension)

  • Support spending analysis, needs assessment, benchmarking and business case development. Identify potential cost savings, spend reduction, supplier consolidation and standardization opportunities. Assist Generation Supply Chain Portfolio Manager and Category Leads with supplier selection and recommendation activities including: qualitative and quantitative analysis, selection criteria, long and short lists, RFI and RFP development and analysis.
  • Monitor financial condition of suppliers to proactively identify solvency risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Track supplier quality, cost and contract performance. Define, develop, and implement supplier scorecard metrics and measurement tools.
  • Perform SAP and Access queries to analyze and summarize data for presentation to decision makers. Review unit cost variances and reconcile contract deviations. Track key performance indicators and commodity indices to verify supplier increase requests, identify cost saving opportunities, elevate possible threats, and inform contract negotiations. Create new tools and processes where needed. Maintain awareness of industry and market trends through ongoing research. Maintain develop reports and management presentations.
  • Data Reporting & Analysis – Prepare weekly and monthly operational metric reports. Analyze department and Academy plans, forecast and actual data and KPI metrics to ensure financial and business goals are being met and make recommendations for improvement as needed. Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions and process improvements as needed.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts to approved monthly and EOY forecasts and chargeback targets
  • Initiate, track, report and close out project accounting and financials for each training project
  • Partner closely with Business Finance, Sourcing, Project Managers, and internal sourcing leads to complete budgets and forecasts
  • Partner with Curriculum Development Managers and Learning Strategists to implement vendor SOW’s. Execute on process within target SLA’s.
  • Working across academy teams support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives following client’s CI methodology
  • Support Company, HR and Academy integrated planning activities (S1/S2), GRC, BPR and Cost Model initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or economics (or related industry experience)
  • 2 + years of experience in business or financial analysis
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a team focus, and the ability to work in cross- functional teams
  • Excellent quantitative skills, with demonstrated proficiency in data analysis (SAP/MS Access), modeling (MS Excel), and presenting (MS PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of basic statistics.
  • Experience in a Learning and Development organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP R3 and Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Experience with budgeting process or similar cost based and chargeback accounting models.
