The Project Specialist performs generally varied, moderately complex, project oriented and clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handle substantive problems independently.
• Coordinate multiple processes, procedures or programs.
• Provide diverse administrative support, including but not limited to word processing, meeting organization (planning, scheduling, coordinating meeting agendas, capturing meeting minutes), follow-up of purchase requisitions and SOWs, preparation of routine correspondence, and scheduling travel arrangements.
• Create/design departmental communications; assist with formatting and layout of slide decks.
• Plan and coordinate Departmental Team Building events.
• Coordinate consultant hiring and onboarding process/activities.
• Present information clearly and effectively verbally and in writing with appropriate format, to multiple levels of internal and external audience.
• Effectively organize complex tasks independently to ensure specified project objectives, timeline and quality requirements are met.
• Translate project objectives into detailed, comprehensive plans to identify tasks to be accomplished, tracks results, and adjusts plans based on evaluation of project progress.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Work with management to find creative solutions to complex obstacles; willingness to "figure it out”.
• Set example in accepting challenges and new responsibilities.
• Maintain versatility with changing priorities. Exhibits a positive work attitude and high productivity.
• Meet objectives and produces work output that falls within specified timeline and quality expectations.
• Consistently deliver on commitments.
• Work effectively across organizational, functional and geographic boundaries to complete project objectives.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

Required Experience:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
• 5 years project management or related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SAP, T & E, eTrip, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint.
• Close attention to details and follow-up are essential. Flexibility of working on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must handle short deadlines with a high level of urgency utilizing strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to take initiative and have ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Has a sense of ownership of programs and accountability.
