Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the data governance framework, share the strategic vision for data integration, processing, and delivery with various project teams
· Support and direct data quality, and provide guidance including integration pattern and design artifacts on data sourcing, integration, and modeling efforts
· Work closely with the Data Modeling, Data Warehouse, Data Integration, and Enterprise Data Management Program groups
· Determine database structural requirements by analyzing applications and programming, reviewing objectives with customers and evaluating current systems
· Develop database solutions by leading system design, defining database structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications
· Research and evaluate proposed data architecture solutions for adherence to documented company standards, policies, and regulatory responsibilities and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and Business Units to implement and support existing and future solutions
· Provide high level technical engineering at the system and/or enterprise level
Use professional concepts to develop resolution to critical issues and different design matters
· Act as a subject matter expert and maintain knowledge of current and emerging data management solutions and technology
· Actively and continuously share data technology knowledge with others
Experience:
· 5+ years design and development experience in data warehousing and data management
· 3 to 5 years of experience in data architecture and logical modeling
· Strong conceptual, relational and dimensional data modeling skills
· Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
· 5+ years overall IT application development implementation experience
· Data modeling expertise and a thorough understanding of logical modeling concepts
· Advanced knowledge dimensional modeling for data marts and warehouses
· Knowledge of physical design for large-scale enterprise systems
· Knowledge of relational concepts
· Knowledge of business rule interpretation and ETL concepts
· Knowledge of business reporting and BI tooling concepts
· Knowledge in Insurance/Finance a plus
