Responsibilities:
  • The Project Manager within Wealth Management Technology will work on the Digital Wealth Management program.  This program involves the delivery of a multi-channel self-directed investing experience with many new and enhanced digital capabilities for clients.
  • As Project Manager, you will have responsibility for the Onboarding work-stream which focuses on delivery of capabilities to support online account opening for self-directed investing clients.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Account Onboarding work-stream Release Planning cycles for quarterly major releases to assess feature demand against capacity:
  • Participate in Scope review sessions and ensure appropriate technology representation to begin assessing high-level application impact
  • Participate in Requirements review sessions and work with technology leads to determine if requirements are sufficient to proceed with definition of high-level application impact statements (Tech Epics)
  • Drive design review sessions with application leads to obtain work effort estimates and target-scope decisions
  • Proactively identify any blockers and risks to completing design assessment; drive resolution of these blockers and implement mitigation strategies against risks
  • Communicate the results of the Release Planning process to our Business partners and support trade-off decision-making
  • Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive tracking worksheet throughout the Release Planning Lifecycle to reflect status of all demand items, as well as application impacts, work effort estimates and target-scope decisions.
  • Deliver management reporting which clearly and concisely communicates release planning status for all demand, and highlights key issues/risks along with action and mitigation plans.
  • Develop Story Grooming/Refinement Plans based on the finalized target-scope for the release.
Lead Account Onboarding delivery:
  • Oversee Sprint Planning sessions to prioritize stories, estimate stories, ensure the quality of stories being considered for the next Sprint and finalize Sprint scope.
  • Host daily stand-ups to drive progress against Sprint deliverables, identify blockers and ensure ownership and action plans for all blockers
  • Drive Scrum-of-Scrum forums to ensure blockers are surfaced and action is taken to avoid delays and missed-deliveries; escalate to management where appropriate
  • Prepare and deliver management updates which clearly and concisely communicates delivery progress against target-scope, highlights key issues/risks along with action and mitigation plans, highlights Critical/High defects and summarizes testing progress versus plan.
  • Serve as Asset Management work-stream technology project lead working with CCB Digital Technology and Product Mgt/Operations counterparts to manage the release planning process, delivery dependencies/issues/risk, critical/high defects and deployment activities.
  • Lead monthly release deployment planning activities and manage the deployment event for Account Onboarding deliverables.
  • Build and reinforce strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders across Asset Management and partner lines-of-business.
 
Qualifications
  • University degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale technology projects under Agile SCRUM and Waterfall methodologies (5+ years)
  • Wealth Management technology and/or business experience
  • Relevant hands-on technical/development background
  • Jira knowledge (story build, story points, execution management and reporting)
  • Excellent communication skills. Crisp & clear verbal communication with the ability to be assertive when speaking to a diverse audience.
  • Excellent facilitation skills. Ability to command/lead facilitation meetings with clear & specific agenda. Keep the audience attentive and active in participation of the meetings
  • Analytical mind, service-minded approach and keen to resolve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
