Job Description:
o        Strong computer science education 
o        Maniacal about site availability 
o        Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to dive into all aspects of the stack to identify and fix problems 
o        Large scale, multi-data center, cloud hosted web administration 
o        Linux Systems Administration 
o        Cloud Expertise – Google preferred. AWS / Pivotal should also be fine. 
o        Cloud IaaS automation using scripting languages- Python and Unix shell 
o        Web server technologies- HTTP, Nginx, Apache, Varnish, Tomcat 
o        Full stack website reliability engineering 
o        Infrastructure configuration management- GIT 
o        Exposure on monitoring tools – Splunk, Appd, Dynatrace 
o        Basic to moderate application programming experience- Java 
o        Application Performance Monitoring tools- Gomez, Dynatrace, Splunk, StackDriver 
o        CI/CD tool chain- Git, Jenkins, Google CDM, Docker, PCF 
o        NoSQL Database Administration- C* 
o        Web Load Testing- jmeter, Load Runner 
o        Team player; enjoys working with developers 
o        Calm under pressure 

The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for:      
o        Site Reliability for eCommerce website 
o        Engage with Dev teams. Pair when appropriate 
o        Establish Service SLAs 
o        Cloud Infrastructure for apps/services 
o        24x7x365 monitoring and incident response 
o        Root Cause Analysis 
o        Production deployment 
o        Cloud Platform Development (at least 25% of time) 
o        Monitor the health of a service through automation. 
o        Investigate automated alerts for services. 
o        Restore production service. 
o        Determine the "blameless" root cause of service incidents. 
o        Enforce service SLAs. 
o        Reduction in percentage of manual tasks
