JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Build and manage a national team of Program Management Consultants to provide outsourced Program Management services to client customers
  • Manage client relationships and contracts as relates to Program Management Projects
  • Expert in all aspects of Program Management
  • Provides leadership, direction, and development to the Engineering Departments
  • Ensures all costs associated with new program launches or engineering projects do not exceed company targets
  • Ensures all new tooling and secondary tooling meets the established productivity, cost, and quality targets
  • Ensures engineering and material specifications manuals are maintained;]
  • Provides engineering support for production, process, and tooling related issues
  • Works closely with production, quality, tooling and maintenance groups to prevent manufacturing problems with materials, products and tools/ fixtures;
  • Assists in developing plant layout plans and rearrangement of equipment for improved workflow and better utilization of space
  • Coordinates design and delivery of new equipment including fixtures, tooling and material handling equipment
  • Establishes Engineering Department accountability for continuous improvement, problem-solving and cost reduction. Encourages use of new techniques and focuses on fact-based problem solving
  • Communicates with senior leadership on status of new program launches and engineering projects
  • Support APQP Activities by developing and submitting PPAP Documentation to customers.
  • Lead Containment and Corrective Action Activities to eliminate internal and external Quality Concerns
  • Support TS16949 and ISO 14001 compliance activities through Internal Auditing.
  • Support Material Review Board in the disposition of Nonconforming material.
  • Direct and coordinate the execution of engineering and quality to support manufacturing operations and schedules based on sales requirements and Plant capacity; measure performance in safety, quality, deliverables, and cost.
  • Prepare reports for management depicting plant performance to operating objectives.
  • Accountable for compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Performs root cause analysis and resolves production problems.
  • Maintain an environment that promotes both personal and professional excellence and development.
  • Recommend, support and implement lean manufacturing, kaizen events, and other continuous process improvement activities.
  • Understands, supports and contributes to total quality management, quality (IATF 16949), and environmental management (ISO14000) systems, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision 
  • Be a team player and work with fellow peers 
  • Be able to complete the given tasks in accordance with the given timeline 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Be able to travel as required by the project – 75% Travel
