Contract/Perm

Candidate should be able to:
  • Plan and coordinate multiple releases, SCM activities, build and release process improvements and overall change management.
  • Plan and manage multiple releases, SCM activity and testing in parallel.
  • Manage change calendar and environment availability
  • Manage test environment calendar/schedule to support test plan.
  • Manage release-specific Actions, Risks and Issues.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis process for release-specific issues.
  • Partner with Operate, AD and Infrastructure teams to complete release-related tasks.,
  • Able to influence large number of stakeholders and technology partners to achieve desired outcome.
  • Make Developers accountable for breach in defined process.
  • Should be able to understand the enterprise vision for change management and define/execute for our specific needs.

Coordinate change scheduling with dependent systems/areas:
  • Change scheduling dependencies - upstream system implementation schedules, new business initiative schedules, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Houston counter-parts to plan and schedule test and production release activities
  • Perform deployments and other activities in test environments, coordinating with AD and Infrastructure groups
  • Contribute to release scheduling and assist in managing dependencies for upstream/downstream system implementation, new business initiative schedules, etc.
  • Planned and unplanned outages - Partner with Infrastructure team to assess/address the impact of planned & unplanned infrastructure outages on scheduled releases (global IT change calendar and associated mtg, freeze periods, scheduled infra. activities, etc.)
  • Plan/manage go-live activities, including go-live weekend plan/checklist, status communications, go-live issue tracking and resolution.

Technical skills and knowledge:
  • Must be proficient with Source Control systems, like Git, to create and merge branches, perform audits on SCM activities, etc.
  • Must be proficient with Unix (Linux), including writing and maintaining shell scripts
  • Proficient with SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience with entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Perform post-implementation reviews and improve overall SCM process.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to code quality and static code analysis tools is a plus – SonarQube, Fortify, test coverage, etc.
  • Previous experience with automated release/deployment tools is also preferred.
