 Job Title:  Operational Excellence Leader
Location:  North Haven, CT
As a staff member of the Focus Factory management team, this person runs process improvement projects at the plant level, assists in training, organizes and coordinates Operational Excellence (Op Ex) activities, works with Operational Excellence Manager and plant to select / prioritize projects and is responsible for all applicable metrics and reporting. Will lead COS (Cell Operating System) conversion efforts, perform WFM (Work Flow Maturity) assessments and execute on client's Operating System) Policy Deployment plans.
Primary Skills:
• Plant manufacturing, or engineering experience, which includes a demonstrated ability to lead and manage process improvement projects.
• – Must have Black Belt or Green Belt, or Lean training
Well versed in capacity modeling, time-studies, balance tables, and flexible work-cell development
Leads plant improvement projects of significant size and scope. Mentor GB and BB on project progress and completion.
• Assists plant management in selecting projects, project/team leaders and champions that align with business/functional goals and strategies.
• Member of the Cost Savings Core team. Keeps the Cost Savings Hopper updated with new GSP OpEx project ideas and maintain track / status of existing OpEx projects.
• Communicates Operational Excellence information/news to plant personnel.
• Assists in the coordination and deployment of the plant Operational Excellence plan for COS and MOS Workflow Maturity.
• Lead / coach COS conversion teams through COS playbook activity for successful a "Go Live” results.
• Work with NPD teams on the Design for COS of new Production Cells.
• Assists leadership in establishing baseline and target metrics for key processes.
• Coordinate, and conduct as applicable, training in key Operational Excellence areas.
• Supports the Operational Excellence Manager in the overall deployment of OPEX training, best practice sharing and in mentoring project teams and leaders.

•Ability to communicate effectively in multi-discipline, cross cultural environment and levels of organization
•Strong problem solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
