Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Level IV) with expert experience in the design, development and testing of brushless motors to join our dedicated, collaborative and high-performing Sensing & Power Systems Engineering Team in Lynnwood, WA.

As Crane's next Senior Electrical Engineer you will work in a wide variety of technologies from high power electronics to microelectronics on highly engineered electronic systems and components for all aircraft OEM's.  You will lead a group of diverse engineering disciplines to meet product technical requirements, design goals, project budgets, and schedules.  You are all about designing, documenting, and testing a variety of electronic designs, and in the process, mentoring less experienced engineers. 
You will serve as an ambassador of the Sensing and Power Systems group in communications with customers, suppliers, and other organizations within the company.
You are also capable to perform the following responsibilities:
Project Management / Technical Leadership Responsibilities
  • Work effectively with all functional groups, customers, suppliers or contractors to achieve product performance and cost targets and control of schedules.
  • Define and manage technical and program requirements, including the generation and flow-down of subsystem specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation necessary to satisfy customer and program requirements, including proposals, procedures, reports, correspondence, etc.
  • Identify, lead and/or support process definition and improvement efforts through support of Kaizen events or similar assignments
Engineering Responsibilities
  • Primary agent for product design insuring that all system and/or electrical engineering design and analysis activities are complete, accurate, and meet program requirements.  Responsibilities include the following categories:

  • Create, review and/or approve product draw­ings, drawing release packages, drawing revisions and other design documentation in concurrence with company procedures and RTCA DO 178 / 254 guidelines (when applicable).
  • Support the Material Review Board (MRB) in the assessment and disposition of non-conforming hardware and material within the scope of assign products.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Eight (8) or more years of related experience
  • Occasional travel to customer and supplier facilities for technical interchange meetings, design reviews, product support, and technical seminars. Passport required.
Eligibility Requirement
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and not require Visa sponsorship to be eligible. Because we contract with the US Department of Defense we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Working Conditions
  • Standard office environment
  • Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
