SAP Concur - Sr. Test Manager
 
Job Summary:
 
Responsible for delivery of tested systems into production. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of testing activities for your portfolio within the organization.
Essential Functions of the Job:
 
·        Oversee delivery of all functional testing activities for assigned portfolios as appropriate
·        Take responsibility for ensuring test delivery and management of test resources, pipeline, status reporting, test plans, cases, results, test readiness reviews, post-implementation reviews
·       Where appropriate review and approve test plans ensuring alignment with standards
·        Determine the appropriate quality initiatives to implement during each phase of the system development life cycle
·        Facilitate and drive the implementation and management of strategic initiatives
·        Manage Team workload, performance and delivery targets
·        Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT Services functions and customers to expedite delivery of IT Solutions
·        Work closely with third party vendors to deliver projects to time, cost and quality requirements
·        Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or customers
·        Participate in program/project review meetings to determine status, problem areas, suggest and review corrective actions, directing/planning necessary extra work, and rework and re-plan activities

Experience/Skill requirements:
 
·        Minimum 10 years of experience in testing or related discipline in a similar role and 12 years of experience in an IT related environment
·        Experience working on Concur
·        Ability to define the Test Strategy and Approach for testing
·        Ability to bring multi-disciplined teams together into one delivery team
·        Good knowledge of current Test and Automation Tools in the market place
·        Experience of leading medium sized teams in project delivery
·        Excellent experience in client-facing roles within blue chip organizations
·        Experience of Team Management with multi-location teams
·        Experience  to work across multiple projects / deployments
·        Excellent management, interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
·        Excellent attention to detail
·        The ability to work and team effectively with clients and other management personnel across geographies
·        Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
·        Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people within and outside of IT to balance demands
·        Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
·       Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and lead virtual cross-cultural, cross-border teams
 
 
 
Supervision Responsibilities:
 
·        Directly and indirectly supervise staff members in the development, implementation, and delivery of applications to business and or technical requirements
·        Recommend the selection of and be responsible for the performance management of staff members
·        Accountable for the performance and results of a team
·        Provide leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff contained within your team.
·        Participation in the development of departmental policy and plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities
Other Requirements:
 
·      Due to the nature of the Global organization, travel may be required
 
Job Requirements:
 
Education:
·        Bachelor degree in related discipline, or equivalent work experience
 
Experience:
·        One or more professional certificates to supplement formal education
·        Minimum 10 years experience in testing or related discipline in a similar role
·        Minimum 12 years experience in an IT related environment
·        Experience working on Concur
·        Experience of leading medium sized teams in project delivery
·        Excellent experience in client-facing roles within blue chip organizations
·        Experience of Team Management with multi-location teams
·        Experience of Line Management responsibilities for medium sized teams
Certification Requirements:
·        • Attained ISEB Foundation in Software Testing or equivalent
·        • Attained or working towards ISEB Practitioner in Software Testing or equivalent
