 Software Engineer to write PC code for critical test vessels
(Review / validate PLC software and write / validate PC software interface for critical custom sterilization test vessels)

Skillset:
Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley preferred)
5+ years programming experience with Visual Studio (VB, C#..)
Strong development lifecycle process and documentation for medical (Requirements generation, software design reviews, verification\validation (IQ\OQ\PQ), traceability matrix…)
Strong system design understanding (hardware, software, physics, test…)
(preferred) Regulatory experience in medical (ISO 13485, ISO 18472…)
(preferred) Works well in a collaborative environment

PC Code (he\she will be primary\sole developer on this portion)
Write PC Software Requirements Specification (SRS) based on current SRS provided by primary PLC developer
Integrate system requirements (already completed) into a PC SRS
Write PC GUI software in Visual Studio from generated requirements
Lead PC software reviews, document findings, and make applicable code updates after reviews
Integrate PC software at machine build location in Oakdale, MN with primary PLC developer
Write and execute PC software validation

PLC Code (Note: he\she will be working with the primary developer of this software as a support):
Review PLC Software Requirements Specification (SRS) for accuracy, make and document recommend improvements (clarity, accuracy, algorithmic efficiency…) – SME for primary developer reviews.
Contribute to software reviews (primary developer will lead)
Work with primary developer to determine efficient options for interface between the PLC and PC software (during requirements generation phase)

Other:
Own documentation generation and integration in to systems
Organize and Lead meetings related to software activities

Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group. Plans, designs, develops, codes and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Responsibilities: Revises and refines systems as required. Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation. Involved in testing and ongoing support of business systems. Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation. Must be able to apply SDLC concepts and have a proven track record of delivering solid, robust applications.
