New Product Development (NPD) Engineer

 •New Product Development Engineering.
•Manage the NPI projects relation with operations, improve procedures to support the project launch and the APD process.
•Coordinate with the Passport and Dispenser Product Support Specialist (PSS)'s to support NPI beta field trials, document installation procedures, and complete technical training materials.
•Build and maintain relationships with Gilbarco SSE and Passport engineering to help ensure that Passport / Dispenser products are designed to be serviceable and we have an escalation path developed with engineering to support beta field trials.
•Ensure completion of applicable Service (APD) checklist and project items.
•Ensure Quality targets are identified and achieved through:
Leadership of Service FMEA, participation in DFMEA at key checkpoints.
Participation in the development of the Master Test Plan.
Application of Problem Solving Process (PSP) training.
•Demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills, and field support with respect to NPD teams
Lead service programs to facilitate the completion of required service, training, and technical documentation.
Ensure product designs support technician/customer serviceability and use requirements.
Coordinate the development of internal and external training materials and knowledge guides.
•Serve as the primary point of contact and provide periodic summaries to the Manager, NPI and Training
•Experience with New Product Development:  Component, Subsystem, System Integration, or Product levels.
•Process focused:  Experience with Stage Gate Processes.
•Solid FMEA experience and resolution of risk elements.
•Experience with data collection and analysis to drive fact-based, recommendations using problem solving.
•Excellent Communication & presentation skills:  experience and confidence with communications and ability to influence across a matrix organization
•Experience with customer-facing roles, responsibilities, and communication.
•Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
•Knowledge of fuel dispenser/pump industry (preferred).
•Ability to lead through influence and work cross functionally with different functional departments.
•Exceptional verbal and written communications and presentation skills.
•Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
•Personal commitment to quality and on-schedule delivery
•The proven ability to establish and meet milestones and deadlines is required.
•Must be versatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues.
•Proven ability to drive conflict resolution.
