Position Summary:
The Engineering Technician is responsible for installing and removing Data Collection System in customer and other test vehicles.  

Job Responsibilities
·        Responsible for installing Data Collection system on vehicles. This would include fitting the system in the vehicle, routing the electrical wiring, mounting all system components and verifying the installation.
·        Ensure the functioning and recording of data in the system
·        Ensure that the software within the system are all up to date.
·        Maintain all components of Data Collection System
·        Installations and de-installations, as necessary
·        Maintain hardware inventory
·        Work with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
·        Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles
·        Provide feedback to engineers on customer problems and requests
·        Perform testing of system features as and when required

Minimum Requirements
·        Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology (Mechanical or Electrical), Bachelor's Degree preferred
·        Valid Driver's License required
·        Microsoft Office skills– Intermediate
·        Strong written and oral communication skills. This role interacts with both external customers and internal management.
·        Ability to see the "big picture” and understand how individual tasks interconnect and impact other parts of the testing process.  
Experience: 1-5 years of hands on experience in instrumentation on vehicles.
