 We are hiring a Lead Performance Tester for an 8 to 9 month contract based in Plano! The main purpose of this position is to join strong performance test team building cutting-edge automated solutions to real-world performance testing problems for a specific Quality "practice” including but not limited to Software Development Testing, Metrics and Tracking, and Processes and Tools. The Lead Performance Tester will be responsible for managing/supporting performance testing requirements from multiple projects including task management for Quality Assurance Testers and/or Quality Improvement.
 
What You'll Do:
Analyzes performance test scripts and performs code reviews.
Analyzes and reports results of performance tests with identification of performance bottlenecks.
Owning the planning, scheduling and execution of performance testing in support of multiple projects.
Identify the performance testing needs, scope and design the optimal scenarios to conduct performance testing for multiple Sprints and Monthly Release.
Conduct load and performance testing in conjunction with sprint development teams.
Analyze the performance test scripts and perform code review.
Standardize the performance test results summary report and publish the performance test results to stakeholders.
Work closely with development and operations teams to proactively analyze, identify, and fix performance test issues
Develop performance automation tests in parallel with product development in agile development environment.
Keeps abreast of software industry "Best Practices” and trends, conduct proof of concept investigations into new tools, methods, and test strategy to improve load and performance testing
Enhance and expand our current test architecture and framework, driving improvements and innovations in our performance testing process and methodology to ensure compliance with required standards.
Provide team leadership support to other test engineers
Supervise a team of employee and contract resources in support of the performance testing based on project assignments.
Collaborate with Business Project Managers, Technical Deliver Managers, Applications Development and Infrastructure managers to document, investigate and resolve performance issues.
Recommend staffing requirements and updates to the resource forecast.
 
Skills/Experience You'll Need:
8-10 years of Performance Testing for web based applications
3+ years at Lead Capacity with significant experience leading multiple software development testing efforts including automation.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
Deep experiences with Micro Services, Web Services, Rest services performance testing in AWS or Cloud
Deep experiences with Web sites, GUI based performance testing.
Deep experiences with batch performance and volume testing.
Deep experiences with Unix/Linux and shell scripting strongly preferred.
Ability to understand n-tier application architectures, Web App and Application App monitoring strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with performance testing tools to include (but not limited to) JMeter, Performance Center etc.
Expert with SQL database and NoSQL data store
Experience working in an Agile development methodology preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of testing methodologies and application debugging from a technical and business perspective.
Proficiency with C, Java, Selenium Web driver. Comprehensive knowledge about automation testing tools, custom framework, ability to review Java, Groovy and SQL scripts.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including requirements analysis and basic application architecture knowledge.
Experience with defect tracking/management software and ability to formulate metrics. Comprehensive knowledge with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team-oriented environment.
Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple and complex projects.
Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
