Job Description: Detailed Description:

* The Software Test Engineer is responsible for developing and executing test scripts and defect management. Testing involves contact center technology components which includes IVR, call routing, CTI desktop application, and reporting. The tester is expected to have experience testing the call center components including web services supporting the IVR application. May be assigned to various projects utilizing skills.

1. Analyzes the business/functional specifications and translates them into IVR system test scripts/test suites.
2. Execute test scripts and accurately & concisely report both progress and defect status.
3. Work with developers and business analyst in supporting defects analysis, reproduction, and resolution.
4. Must be able to work closely with the customer and assist them in their User Acceptance Testing.
5. Produce detailed and accurate documentation of test results.
6. Supports production development activities, such as application installs.
7. Develops clear and concise ad-hoc IVR call detail reports utilizing the SQL developer tool.
Skills/Experience: 1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in software quality assurance required.
2. Previous experience working with IVR applications.
3. Strong understanding of current technology and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Possess thorough understanding of testing techniques and tools as they relate to IVR applications.
6. Previous experience in testing IVR speech recognition system, CTI (routing & reporting).
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines.
8. MS Office Professional including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
9. Proficient in SQL for Oracle.
10. Problem solving skills: Adept in responding to new information, shifting priorities, changing conditions, and unexpected obstacles.
11. Works independently with only general direction and minimal supervision.
12. Has the ability to self manage own time and prioritize work to meet timelines.
13. Familiar with JIRA is a plus.
14. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with cross functional teams.
Required Skills:  
Desired Skills: 1. Three years working in the healthcare insurance preferred.
2. Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
3. Previous experience with Genesys and Nuance NVP platforms is a plus.
Degree Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent professional experience required.
