Client is seeking a highly motivated business development (Client) professional to join our team as our Customer Service executive point of contact, to engage our key customer and the market with solutions that will help to accelerate our utility client optimize and evolve to fulfill their business objectives.
We are looking for a driven, results-oriented, self-starter that understands utility challenges and funding opportunities; at the tactical and strategic level they must lead a virtual team of senior consultants working across the utility landscape, ensure the portfolio book of business is aligned with the customers short and long term needs. He/She must be able to translate complex concepts into strategic requirements enabling the creation of a multi-year roadmap delivering value along the key milestones. The successful candidate must be able to convey the strategic value of partnering with in deploying client solutions.

Work with existing and new clients and site host partners to understand current operational energy management requirements and future plans
• Perform as the Customer Success Executive, ensuring business value is derived from engagements
• Coordinate with other leaders to understand business risks and opportunities across the company landscape
• Strategically plan which functions are key to unlocking financial support for the book of business
• Develop new client relationships with the goal of securing funding to deliver value across our products and services
• Engage decision makers and influencers at all levels to promote as the industry leader and the preferred management consulting firm with deep utility experience and knowledge
• Leverage industry expertise to influence clients in solution strategies
• Develop and execute company growth strategies that deliver value for both the enterprise and clients
• Identify and meet with leading technology providers and integrators to assess and develop partnership opportunities
• Understand the changing regulatory dynamics of the energy industry and governing legislation for distributed energy solutions and identify actionable opportunities
• Execute a disciplined sales process that delivers value to clients aligned with sales and milestone targets
• Participate in account planning and forecasting activities
• Proposal presentation and contract negotiation
• Maintain ongoing customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and future opportunities
• Work hand in hand with site development and other BCG teams to match potential funding to company CapEx and OpEx needs

Required Skills/Experience
• Bachelor degree required, advanced degree preferred
• 10 + years of successful experience in utility business Customer Service, Transmission or Distribution lines of Business
• 5-7 years' experience with utility infrastructure, sales and/or project execution
• A track record of consultative sales wins, 5+ years of client management experience and revenue generation
• Understanding of energy policy and utility regulatory environment
• Working knowledge of grid modernization, DERMS, ADMS, SCADA, AMI and related emerging energy industry priorities, incentives and identification of market penetration opportunities
• Experience with electric distribution utility engagement and planning and decision making processes
• Experience with grid modernization projects and a broad knowledge of Smart Grid, distributed energy resources, and energy storage technologies
• Strong understanding of Utility and Government grant award processes
• Deep relationships with Utility, Regulator, and other personnel
• Strong understanding of financial and contract management
