Job Summary:
Develop and support real-time software applications and engineering duties for Wabtec Railway Electronics (WRE) a leading supplier of technology based products and services for the rail and transit industries. This position has an opening for a dynamic, result-oriented Sr. Software engineer with a positive attitude to getting the job done. The individual will be assigned to supporting the Train Control Office System (TCOS) product for multiple customers. This position may require domestic travel up to 5% of the time.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Gathering the business requirements from stakeholders and analyze the same.
  • Showing proficiency in Development Process (SDLC)
  • Good in stakeholder management
  • Experience in process management
  • Good in quality process
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of and background with Agile concepts.
  • Possessing prior experience coaching teams in Agile adoption or as a Scrum Master/Product owner
  • Good experience in risk management
  • Strong Coaching and people skills.
  • Good in budget management
  • Experience in using Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications:
  • Strong 5+ year's overall Project Management
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong debug and troubleshooting skills.
  • Team player and works well with others.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and concisely.
  • Self motivated, quick learner, results-oriented and a clear focus on quality.
  • Ability to develop elevated level of credibility and strong positive relationships with peers and management.
Education, Experience and Knowledge Required:
  • The candidate needs to have 10+ years' experience in software development and support processes for enterprise-class systems.
  • College Bachelor's/Master's Degree or equivalent experience in information systems or computer science with strong experience in Time critical application development.
  • Experience and understanding of the database management systems used to support complex n—tiered systems.
  • Would be desirable but not mandatory that candidate has knowledge of railroad system operations.
