Performance Analysis Engineer

•Develop and analyze multi­domain system models (using EASY5 or Simulink) to predict transient response, stability margins (response time, phase and gain margins), force balance, and available force margin in support of design validation and optimization of control valve assemblies.
•Develop and analyze 1D and 2D steady state flow models to predict such characteristics as pressure drop, flowrate, internal leakage, and external interface loads. Systematic analysis of valve actuation systems/mechanisms under a variety of operating conditions (e.g. Stroke level, input flow characteristics, and operating temperature) to ensure robust and stable operation in full compliance with performance requirements
•As an IPT member, collaborate with designers early in the product development cycle to identify and eliminate latent performance related issues.
•Develop and utilize calculation tools and templates to perform force margin analysis, size actuation system hardware, assess stability margin for pressure regulators, and estimate leakage while accounting for such factors as differential thermal growth within the valve assembly, geometric
tolerances, and changes in internal friction mechanisms due to aging.
• Author clear and detailed standard procedures on performance analysis and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers to perform such analyses. Liaise closely with a team of outsource engineers to perform above stated analyses in support of some projects.
