 As a member of the Lead Team, the Human Resource Manager is responsible for providing hands-on and strategic leadership, development, and management of HR function at the Ticonderoga Mill.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Recruitment and Selection, Employee Engagement, Leadership Development, Training and Development, Employee/Labor Relations, Conflict Management, Change Management and SAP HRIS Management.  
  • Business Partner:  Facility Lead Team Member, act with facility management to lead HR initiatives at the site, institute work improvements which positively impact business profitability and raise employee engagement.
  • Leadership Development, Engagement, and Diversity: Educate, coach and counsel members of the organization on job performance management, employee development and diversity to build work teams who fully contribute to exceeding business goals.
  • Recruit hourly and salaried employees utilizing Pre-Employment, College Recruiting, and other tools and resources to help the organization meet its goals in attracting, developing and retaining a high quality& engaged workforce.
  • Educate and coach management on company policies, plant work rules, as well as applicable federal and state regulations, to ensure fair and consistent delivery of human resources products and services.
  • Direct the provision of reports pertaining to attendance, equal employment opportunity, labor, cost control, compensation, employment and other required or requested reports.  Accountable for timely completion of the facility Affirmative Action Plan, programs and processes.
  • Work with management and communications support staff to lead the planning and implementation of communication strategies which deliver accurate, consistent and timely information on business issues and employee concerns.
  • Research and introduce human resources best practice concepts to ensure that the organization is utilizing leading edge human resources technology and proactively considering and implementing new strategies. Share best practices across the organization.
  • Develop and ensure implementation an effective employee/labor relations strategy.  Coordinate closely with corporate employee relations and the business sector to ensure alignment and support.
  • Directly manage the performance and development of HR staff
  • Labor contract administration for two unions which includes negotiations and arbitration preparations.
  • Champion the change management process consistent with the IP Way Forward.
  • Develop SAP and other systems expertise.
