Mandatory Technical Skills
  • Industry experience in Data analytics/BI, Data modeling and visualization, Optimization and statistics.
  • 5+ years of Scripting with one of these languages (PHP, R, PYTHON).
  • Ten or more years of overall IT/DBMS/Data Store experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in, big data, data caching, data federation and data virtualization management including experience in leveraging Hadoop
  • Experienced with packages such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn, dplyr, ggplot2.
  • Understand the internals of R and Python (Who can perform root cause analysis for the issues encountered in production)
  • Experience writing shell scripts, and automating tasks.
  • Prior experience with cloud services or cloud data services and/or data analytics projects preferred - Platform knowledge (Azure, Windows and Linux)
  • Experience with orchestration techniques, infrastructure automation and cloud deployments
  • Familiarity of Cloud Architecture (Public and Private clouds) – AWS , AZURE
  • Experience in the implementation details of Hadoop Clusters, Impala, and HBase and other emerging data techniques

Leverage data and business principles to solve large scale web, mobile and data infrastructure problems.
Work cross functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models and make recommendations.
Build and maintain data driven optimization models, experiments, forecasting algorithms and capacity constraint models.
Leverage tools like R, PHP, Python, Hadoop & SQL to drive efficient analytics.
Communicate final recommendations and drive decision making.

Desirable Technical Skills
  • 5+ years of Scripting with one of these languages (PHP, R, PYTHON).
  • SQL experience.
  • Expert in querying and analyzing big data using Hive, Python, SQL, Scope and/or C#
  • Experience working with unstructured big data (Hadoop and/or Cosmos)
  • Experts in advanced Excel functions (e.g., creating formulas, pivot tables) and PowerBI
  • Prior knowledge of data modelling and processing techniques for big data systems
  • Solid understanding of BI and data solutions, including Power-pivots, cubes, and datamarts.
  • Self-motivated, agile and driven to think out-of-the-box
  • Ability to influence diverse audiences and build strong partnerships with stakeholders
