Support Lead for BI Applications

Start Date: 06/13/2018
Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science preferred and a minimum of 3 years of IT experience.

This position will be a team member of a Lean and Agile Squad in the BI Domain and will have multiple responsibilities. The main responsibility (50%) will be Support Lead for the BI applications (ETL and MicroStrategy). The other 50% will be as an Analyst and/or developer for BI.

-Manage overall ticket resolution for BI apps
-Manage reporting and resolution of RCAs
-Fully understand and implement all support processes and tools
-Maintain SLAs – Report discrepancies
-Communicate to user community on planned/unplanned downtime
-Participate in Control Tower meetings
-Lead the Community of Practice for Support across the Lean & Agile BI & A teams

-Gather requirements, define solutions to meet business needs, translate business needs into technical specifications, perform unit testing, provide support for UAT
-Practice Lean & Agile processes
-Develop BI solutions
-Create automated test scripts

Qualification 1: Excellent documentation skills with the demonstrated ability to create requirements documents and present them to business groups.

Qualification 2: Technical knowledge of IS systems.

Qualification 3: Demonstrated excellent organization skills and detailed oriented in work habits. Ability to work in a very time sensitive environment.

Qualification 4: Demonstrated ability to understand complex processes (business or IS).

Qualification 5: Able to work in a Lean & Agile team environment and to follow the best practices of Lean & Agile.

Qualification 6: Demonstrated knowledge of BI business practices and guidelines is a plus.

Qualification 7: Be self-motivated, self-confident, responsible/reliable, customer oriented and quality minded resource with the demonstrated ability to work effectively and communicate well (written & oral).
