  • To resolve tickets/escalations/incidents, through root cause analysis, in adherence to SLA, quality, process & security standards to ensure positive customer feedback and value creation.
  • To ensure positive customer experience and First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases
  • Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training fresher, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives
  • To participate or contribute in new business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans
  • Should have extensive scripting knowledge
  • To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
  • To provide support for on call escalations, PMRs and doing incident & problem management
  • Create and maintain DB2 LUW databases required for development, testing, Integration, QA and production usage
  • Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases. The DBA should work closely with Server, Backup and storage administrator to meet Backup, Hardware, Storage and Operating system requirements.
  • Should also participate with Apps team for any reported performance issues
  • Perform ongoing analysis and tuning of the DB2 LUW database to keep a healthy state
  • Install/upgrade new versions of the DB2 LUW database and its features and any other related tools
  • Plan and implements backup and recovery of the DB2 LUW database
  • Application code promotion and migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle if applicable
  • Experience and knowledge in migrating code, database changes, data and menus through the various stages of the development life cycle if applicable
  • Implement and enforce security requirements for DB2 LUW databases
  • Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database
  • Evaluate releases of DB2 LUW database version products to ensure that the environment is running the products that are most appropriate
  • Planning is also performed by the DBA, along with the application developers and System administrators, to ensure that any new product usage or release upgrade takes place with minimal impact
  • Provides technical support to application development teams
  • DBA point of contact for database requirements
  • Enforce and maintain database constraints to ensure integrity of the database
  • Administrate all database objects, including tables, indexes and replication database
  • Troubleshoots problems regarding the databases, replication and database related Tools
  • Create new SQL users and permission as required
  • Good knowledge of physical database design and responsible for the physical database design
  • Good knowledge of the DB2 LUW on Linux/Unix/Windows operating system(s)
  • Ability to perform both database and also operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments
  • Be able to provide a strategic database direction for the organization
  • Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery scenarios
  • Excellent skill in High availability, replication technologies and fail over
  • DBA should possess a sound understanding of the business
  • Must be ready to work in 24*7 shift basis as per business requirements
  • Must be available on-call for any critical Incidents or Project delivery
  • Must be well versed with ITSM tools like SNOW
DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, systems administrators and other related service providers.
