We are looking for a skilled and motivated Program Manager Tech 1 to join our team, focusing on Apache Airflow.
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Program Manager to lead our initiatives around Apache Airflow. This role will involve close customer engagement, code development, community contribution, and technical support. You will be a key driver in ensuring the successful adoption of Apache Airflow among our customers and contributing to its continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement:
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide technical guidance on using Apache Airflow within Microsoft Fabric.
- Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their success with our solutions.
- Sample Code and Best Practices:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize sample code for Apache Airflow use cases.
- Create and share best practices, technical documentation, and guides to support customers.
- Community Contribution:
- Actively participate in the Apache Airflow open-source community.
- Contribute to codebase, participate in discussions, and share insights.
- Product Improvement:
- Collect feedback from customers and the community to identify areas for enhancement.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to drive product improvements.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to customers, troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
- Ensure the successful deployment and operation of Apache Airflow workflows.
- Training and Workshops:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams.
- Educate audiences on Apache Airflow best practices and new features.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Program Manager or Technical Program Manager role.
- Strong technical expertise with Apache Airflow, including deployment, maintenance, and customization.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects, particularly Apache Airflow.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in customer engagement and technical support.
- Proficiency in creating sample code, best practices, and technical documentation.
- Experience in conducting training sessions and workshops.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Knowledge of Python, as it is widely used with Apache Airflow.
- Prior experience in workflow automation or data orchestration domains.
