Summary:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience applying Enterprise Architecture principals.
- At least five (5) years of that experience must be in a lead capacity.
- Must possess a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
- Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for year basis.
- Must possess a valid Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification from Microsoft.
- Possession of a valid DevOps Engineer Expert Certification from Microsoft.
- Possession of a valid VMware Certified Advanced Professional-Cloud Management and Automation Design (VCAP-CMA Design) Certification from VMware.
- Possession of a valid DevOps Engineer Professional Certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Possession of a valid Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Network Automation Certification from Red Hat.
- Possession of a valid Azure Network Engineer Associate Certification from Microsoft.
- Possession of a valid VMware Certified Professional-Security (VCP-SEC) Certification from VMware.
- Possession of a valid Advanced Networking Specialty Certification from AWS.
- Possession of a valid Azure Security Engineer Associate Certification from Microsoft.
- Possession of a valid Security Specialty Certification from AWS.
- Cloud Architecture Design: Developing the overall cloud architecture framework that aligns with the business objectives and IT strategy. This includes selecting the appropriate cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud).
- Cloud Service Provider Evaluation: Assessing and selecting cloud service providers based on the organization's requirements, including performance, reliability, compliance, cost-effectiveness, and support.
- Cloud Migration Planning: Creating detailed plans for migrating existing applications and infrastructure to the cloud. This involves analyzing workloads, choosing migration strategies (re-hosting, re-platforming, refactoring), and managing the transition process.
- Automation Strategy: Designing and implementing automation solutions to streamline IT operations, including automated provisioning, configuration management, deployment, and scaling of IT resources.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Employing IaC practices to manage and provision infrastructure through machine-readable definition files, rather than physical hardware configuration or interactive configuration tools.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/ CD): Establishing CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, enabling frequent and reliable code changes to be deployed to production environments.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Setting up monitoring and management tools for cloud resources to ensure optimal performance, availability, and cost efficiency. This involves regular reviews and adjustments based on usage data and performance metrics.
- Cloud Security and Compliance: Ensuring that cloud solutions adhere to security best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes implementing security measures like identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and security monitoring.
- Cost Management and Optimization: Monitoring cloud spending and utilizing cost management tools and practices to optimize resource usage and reduce unnecessary expenses.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Designing and implementing disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans that take advantage of cloud capabilities for data backup, replication, and quick recovery.
- Technical Leadership and Advocacy: Acting as a cloud and automation evangelist within the organization, providing guidance, best practices, and training to other IT staff and stakeholders.
- Vendor Management: Working with cloud service providers and technology vendors to manage service level agreements (SLAs), negotiate contracts, and handle any issues that arise.
- Research and Innovation: Staying abreast of emerging cloud technologies, services, and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and competitive advantage.
