Task 3 – Public Works Engineering Project Management Staff Augmentation
Consultant reports under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Public Works/City Engineer and / or Principal Civil Engineer to manage civil engineering projects. Work shall include, but not be limited to: Managing major CIP projects, which includes contract administration; project schedule coordination; management of consultants and staff; coordination of consultant work, utilities, staff, other public agencies. Managing construction inspection firms for public construction projects and preparing construction project progress payments. Writing City Council staff reports and preparing construction contract agreements and amendments. Consultant may make oral presentations before the City Council and various commissions and committees. Desired Qualifications Include: Strong experience in managing paving, storm drains, bridges, buildings, traffic signals, sanitary sewers, street lighting, undergrounding of overhead utilities, and civil engineering projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with municipal codes, standard engineering plans and specifications. | ||||||
