Wastewater Project Management Staff Augmentation
Consultant reports directly to the Engineering Manager and performs a variety of field and project management work with some direction and oversight. Consultant will participate in design and construction administration of projects in the City's CIP. The CIP includes work on major projects involving wastewater collection systems, wastewater pump stations and the Calera Creek Water Recycling Plant. Work shall include, but not be limited to: Managing CIP projects through design, construction, and startup. Manage major wastewater CIP projects, which includes contract administration; project schedule coordination; management of consultants and staff; coordination of consultant work, utilities, staff, other public agencies. Managing construction inspection firms for public construction projects and preparing construction project progress payments. Writing City Council staff reports and preparing construction contract agreements and amendments. Consultant may make oral presentations before the City Council and various commissions and committees. Desired Qualifications Include: At least 3 years of wastewater project management experience. Experience with the design, construction, and project management of wastewater collection system projects, including working with easements and permitting with public agencies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with wastewater treatment design principles.
