Powertrain Project Manager

Description:
  • The Project Manager is responsible for cost, quality, and timing for Propulsion Systems Testing and Analysis capital investment projects.
  • The Project Manager will prepare management level status reports, manage risk, resolve program issues, track and control project spending.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
  • Lead a cross functional team for the successful execution of Propulsion Systems Testing and Analysis projects
  • Assess and manage the interdependencies of the project
  • Chair regular project status meetings
  • Manage project risks
  • Monitor and regularly provide management both verbal and written updates of the budget and timing status, risks, and issues of the project as appropriate
  • Work closely with the project teams to remove roadblocks, provide guidance on issues, and develop recovery plans
  • Upon completion of projects, ensure any lessons learned are reviewed/captured in order to improve future project execution
  • Escalate issues to management as needed
  • Ensure that all environmental, health, and safety requirements are met

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree
  • 3+ years of experience in project/program management with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Experienced with MS Office applications including project
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Project
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience managing large/complex projects
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or other training equivalent
  • Experience working with product testing in laboratory or manufacturing environments
  • Experience with the planning and execution of large capital improvement projects

Additional Must Haves:
  • Location: CTC, Auburn Hills – Onsite/Remote Hybrid
  • No Driving of Stellantis vehicle
