Position Description:
  • Senior Product Manager position in a fast paced, collaborative environment to lead development of cloud-based web services and micro services that interact with Company"s next generation of connected vehicles.
Skills Required:
  • Direct past experience with the following Product Manager activities:
  • Initiates the product road map into manageable product features and user stories in the backlog, understands business priorities and technical feasibility in order to prioritize the product backlog and manage risks.
  • Actively manages features and dependencies in and across product releases.
  • Assesses the overall health of the product and prompts key decisions to move it forward.
Experience Preferred:
  • Works closely with the Product Owners to establish and/or contribute to the product roadmap whilst ensuring the development teams understand this strategy.
  • Clearly communicates product vision to team members and stakeholders. Ensures the backlog is populated with enough prioritized user stories that are ready to be estimated for the next two iterations.
  • Defines analytics to be collected regarding the product, and prioritizes their collection.
  • Verifies that the delivered software product meets desired business outcomes.
  • Redefines the backlog content to optimize business outcomes based on software product feedback.
  • Gathers user and stakeholder feedback to drive improvements and inform the product roadmap.
  • Actively employs user research using lean validation techniques.
  • Actively manages features and dependencies in and across product releases. Communicates openly and frequently with the team by being responsive to in-person prompts.
  • Actively works to remove impediments and blockers to team delivery. Identifies risks, and implements mitigation and contingency plans, focused on early mitigation or elimination of risks.
  • Employs and/or champions Agile software processes, culture, best practices, and techniques.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems.
Education Required:
  • Bachelors in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
