Position Description:
MPP- Serve as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops REST microservices and other software applications - Provide application design and architecture leadership on microservices - Write code and unit tests, automation, and conduct code reviews all while pair programming - Work with team members to establish best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize risk. - Interact and work closely with product manager to devise solutions and break them down into incremental production-ready user stories - Identify exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges - Grow technical capabilities / expertise and provide guidance to other members on the team

Skills Required:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience (i.e. application architecture, design, full application/system development lifecycle) - Technological leadership (depth in understanding of technologies used to deliver solutions) - Experience with REST Web Services developed using Spring or JavaEE Framework - Experience with REST API methods and implementation of web services in a distributed architecture system (i.e. PCF on Azure) - Demonstrated ability to learn and become productive in new technologies quickly - Experience helping troubleshoot application and performance issues - Software Craftsmanship - Experience in automated testing concepts, tools, and frameworks - Willing to pair program, work on a highly collaborative team, fulfill different roles and fill gaps - Agile mindset - Proactive attitude and not afraid to ask questions - Strong desire to help to be more efficient and build solutions that make the team more productive and increase quality confidence

Experience Preferred:
- Prior experience consulting around architectural guidance for application projects and teams utilizing Pivotal Cloud Foundry and the Spring framework. - Experience with Kanban or XP methodology and practices - Prior experience coaching/mentoring teams - Exposure to OAuth authorization framework - Prior experience using Postman and SoapUI - Experience consuming both REST and SOAP web services - Experience with DataPower - Prior experience working with product management software such Pivotal Tracker, Jira, or Rally - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Behavioral Leadership (ability to handle difficult situations and build relationships) No
