Position Description:
  • The Product Driven Organization (PDO) Transformation Office (TO) guides IT towards its vision of creating teams that are customer centric while delivering value at market speed.
  • The TO enables the IT organization through guidance, training, and support throughout the transformation process.
  • The Communications Specialist position within the TO communication"s team will guide the planning and delivery of communications on behalf of the TO.
  • You will be responsible for creating, supporting and managing PDO related communications both within and outside of the TO.
  • You will work with diverse audiences across all leadership levels to identify, develop and disseminate communications across a variety of medium.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Develop high quality communications consistent with the TO"s goals and objectives. Refine, implement and maintain the communications strategy and plan.
  • Develop high quality communications that will play a key part in increasing employee engagement and ensuring all employees feel connected as part of the PDO transformation.
  • Identify and utilize multiple communications channels, ensuring channels are user friendly and regularly accessed by employees.
  • Write and manage internal TO communications (e.g. memos, newsletters, etc.). Maintain the TO website, including creating and revising content.
  • Coordinate site updates with other teams in the TO who are also content owners. Create effective communications content about important updates, news and events so teams that are part of the PDO transformation are always informed.
  • Identify and implement methods to measure and track the effectiveness of communications efforts.
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare materials such as presentations, flyers, posters and videos to support key announcements.
  • Ensure communications adhere to standards and policies.
  • Manage and support events and meetings hosted by the TO, the TO teams or other to partnerships.
Skills Required:
  • Minimum 7 years. internal and/or external communications experience required. Experience leading a team of communications professionals to deliver high quality and impactful communications through a variety of medium.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex environments and team dynamics.  Ability to build strong relationships and working partnerships that can be leveraged to successfully deploy the communications plan.
  • Strong time management, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Creative and organized problem-solver who can plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
  • Hands on experience with SharePoint, including working knowledge of how to create, manage and maintain SharePoint sites.
  • Willingness to take direction and work within the framework of the team.
  • Aptitude for working with and through people to accomplish goals as a servant leader and change agent.
  • Ability to establish a culture of continuous feedback loops with customers and through multiple communications vehicles.
  • Excellent proofing and editing skills with high levels of attention to detail and quality. Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to support projects outside of core responsibilities to support team goals.
  • Ability to receive feedback and quickly and accurately incorporate it.
  • Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people, stakeholders and customers across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to convey information creatively and graphically.
  • Working knowledge of Ford.s key collaboration tools (e.g. WebEx, Webcast, Spark)
  • Working knowledge of CA Agile Central.
  • Working knowledge of design and video software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Publisher, Camtasia).

Experience Preferred:
  • HR, Employee engagement and/or Organizational Change Management experience.
  • xperience coordinating and hosting large scale global events.
  • Prior experience in an agile delivery environment while utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or Scaled Agile framework.
Education Required:
  • Bachelor"s degree
