Job Title: MRI Technologist

Shift: Day Shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to operate specialized imaging equipment and perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will apply sound technical judgment to ensure diagnostic accuracy while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols
• Position patients and coils appropriately to obtain optimal imaging results
• Educate patients on procedures, expectations, and safety guidelines
• Review patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI scans
• Ensure all images are accurately labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely manner
• Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability
• Maintain accurate documentation in Radiology Information System (IDX)
• Schedule exams and record patient tracking information as required
• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of MRI equipment and work areas
• Monitor inventory of supplies and maintain adequate stock levels
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
• Assist physicians during procedures when required
• Follow strict MRI safety protocols to prevent exposure to ferromagnetic materials
• Adhere to infection control and safety policies
• Perform basic clerical duties when necessary
• Participate in training sessions and professional development activities

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and physiology
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience preferred

Education:

• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology program

Certifications & Licensure (Required):

• Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
• ARRT (MRI) Certification
• BCLS Certification
