Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment at a leading acute care facility in New York. The RN will specialize in wound, ostomy, and continence care, providing comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Experience in wound care, ostomy, and continence management
• Active New York RN License (required at submission)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• One of the following certifications required:
  • CWOCN / CWON / CWCN (WOCNCB)
  • CWS (ABWM)
  • WCC (NAWCO)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program

Responsibilities:

• Conduct focused wound, ostomy, and continence assessments
• Develop and implement patient-specific care plans
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal care outcomes
• Lead and support staff education and training programs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Assist in selection of wound care supplies and equipment
