Job Title: Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology / Cath Lab RN
Location: McAllen Heart Hospital, McAllen, TX 78503
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in monitoring and supporting diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology (EP) procedures.

Provide patient care during emergency and elective cardiac procedures including angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and stent placement.

Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status during electrophysiology studies and interventions.

Collaborate with cardiologists and the cath lab team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Educate and support clinical staff at McAllen Heart Hospital regarding electrophysiology monitoring and procedures.

Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to all regulatory and clinical standards.

Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after cardiac procedures.
Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved Registered Nurse (RN) program.

Minimum 1 year of experience monitoring diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology studies.

Recent acute care experience.

Current Registered Nurse license in the state/district of practice.
Current Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required

NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – Required
Preferred Qualifications:
-
BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) – Highly preferred

Knowledge or experience with Micropace EP recording system

Previous experience in Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab environments
