Job Title: Radiologic Technologist – Computed Tomography (CT)
Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 Hours
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements
Schedule: Rotating schedule (weekends and weekdays). Flexibility required.
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs computerized tomography (CT) scans and may also perform general diagnostic radiology exams. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging, patient safety, and proper documentation while following radiation safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform CT scans and diagnostic imaging procedures

Explain procedures and prepare patients for exams

Administer IV contrast (power injector use required) and monitor for reactions

Assist Radiologist with sterile and complex procedures (e.g., biopsies)

Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles

Complete documentation in PACS and RIS systems

Transport patients to and from the Emergency Department as needed

Maintain equipment and ensure adequate supply levels
Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting

Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Radiology required

ARRT registered with advanced certification in CT (ARRT-CT) required

BLS certification (AHA) required

Peripheral IV insertion experience required (or willing to obtain training)

Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical & Work Environment:
- May work in hospital or mobile unit setting
- Potential exposure to radiation and contagious patients
- Ability to lift/move patients and equipment as needed
- Prolonged standing and walking required
