Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

📍 Location: Rochester, NY
📅 Contract Length: 13 Weeks
🕒 Shift: 3x12 D/N Rotation (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
🏥 Specialty: Labor & Delivery

Position Requirements

• Must have active NY RN License in hand

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience

• First-time travelers accepted

• Locals must reside outside 75-mile radius

• Every other weekend required

Certifications (Required)

• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

• BLS – Basic Life Support

• NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program

• EFM – Electronic Fetal Monitoring

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients

• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs using EFM

• Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries

• Administer medications and IV therapy per protocol

• Support high-risk obstetric patients

• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols
