Nuclear Medicine Technician
Location: New York, NY 10029
Job Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift: 5 × 7.5-Hour Day Shifts
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Mon–Fri)
- 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
Hours per Week: 37.5 hours
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements
Job Summary
The Offsite Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine Lab. This includes testing equipment, educating patients and families about procedures, and performing nuclear medicine studies in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and perform procedures.
- Test and maintain nuclear medicine equipment.
- Educate patients and families regarding imaging procedures.
- Perform studies in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience

Required Education
- Associate's degree required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- ARRT or NMTCB Certification in Nuclear Medicine.
- Post-secondary certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License issued by the NYS Department of Health.
- BCLS Certification.
- ARRT-R not required.
