Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Rotation (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 Hours

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, performs laboratory testing on blood and other body fluid specimens using manual methods and laboratory instruments. Follows established protocols and may perform phlebotomy as needed.

Required Education:

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science

Required Certification:

• Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA)

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of recent experience in a similar role
• Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment (AU system preferred)
• Experience with Sunquest LIS and laboratory automation preferred

Required Skills:

• Strong technical and theoretical laboratory knowledge
• Good communication skills

This is a 13-week contract position with an afternoon/evening shift rotation (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM).
