OMH Rockland Psychiatric Center (140 Old Orangeburg Rd, Orangeburg, NY 10962) is considering the hire of a temporary Pharmacy Aide, to cover at least three months, starting December 2025, in order to cover a shortfall in staffing due to vacations and a paternity leave.

Here is the scope of work for the temporary pharmacy aide:

• Fills and organizes medication carts
• Delivers medications to designated units
• Delivers medications using medication carts
• Receives and stores orders
• Monitors inventory levels
• Conducts routine checks for outdated or expired medications
• Supports the pharmacist in preparing medications for both outpatient and inpatient use
• Repackages medications following facility guidelines
• Assists with maintaining pharmacy records
• Cleans and performs basic maintenance on the repackaging machine
• Assists with the end-of-day pharmacy closing procedures
