Job Title: Scrum Master / Project Manager – Agile Analytics Lead (Banking Data & Analytics)
Location: Hybrid Onsite – Boston, MA (2–3 days/week) or New York, NY
Overview:
Santander Group is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master / Project Manager – Agile Analytics Lead to join its Deposits and Analytics Team. This role combines agile leadership, project management, and analytics coordination to support the centralization of analytics across the organization and drive the team's agile transformation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking analytics, data governance, and agile delivery, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Transformation: Lead the Deposits and Analytics team's shift from waterfall to agile methodologies, establishing best practices, process consistency, and accountability.
- Project & Scrum Leadership: Act as a hybrid Scrum Master and Project Manager, facilitating sprint planning, backlog management, daily standups, and retrospective meetings.
- Analytics Centralization: Oversee initiatives that align and standardize analytics efforts across business units to ensure efficiency, transparency, and consistency in reporting.
- Governance & Optimization: Implement governance frameworks, streamline documentation, and identify operational efficiencies across analytics and reporting workflows.
- Strategic Reporting Support: Collaborate with analytics teams to develop and deliver reports supporting business strategies and key performance objectives.
- JIRA Management: Maintain process integrity through consistent JIRA usage, ensuring transparency, prioritization, and cross-team coordination.
- Operational Excellence: Operate with a "Chief-of-Staff” mindset, optimizing team operations, supporting leadership initiatives, and fostering continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in analytics, data science, or technology within a commercial or consumer banking environment.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive change.
- Experience with governance documentation and regulatory standards in a banking context.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in banking environments.
- Familiarity with agile coaching or transformation leadership.
- Background in data visualization, reporting tools, or BI platforms.
