Title: Histology Technician
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 24 Weeks 
Shift: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform grossing of small biopsies and routine surgical specimens under supervision in the Gross Room.
• Handle embedding and microtomy of all surgical specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
• Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists.
• Follow laboratory safety standards and maintain specimen integrity throughout all processes.
• Collaborate with the surgical pathology team to support diagnostic services and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Science and completion of an accredited Histology program or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (required).
• Licensure: Active New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Certified Histology Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technician certification from NYSED (required).
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in histology, including biopsy and dermatology specimen processing.
• Strong background in grossing, embedding, and microtomy techniques.
