Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse (ICU) is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for delivering safe, competent, and compassionate care to critically ill patients. The nurse integrates nursing theory, evidence-based practice, and professional standards to provide holistic, relationship-centered care to patients and their families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Care:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized patient care plans.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Prioritizes patient needs, including education, discharge planning, and coordination of after-hospital care.

Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Delegates and supervises care appropriately within the Modified Primary Nursing model.
Patient Experience:

Promotes a therapeutic environment through empathy, compassion, and active listening.

Engages in purposeful hourly rounding and bedside shift reports.

Considers patient values, culture, and preferences in all care decisions.

Initiates service recovery and escalates patient concerns appropriately.

Performs charge nurse duties as assigned.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of RN experience
-
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care/Telemetry experience
-
EPIC experience highly preferred
-
1 year of travel RN experience (required for travel positions only; not required for per diem roles)
