The selected candidate will serve as Attending Nurse Practitioner and will provide clinical care on the 12-bed inpatient clinical research Eating Disorders Unit. The mission of this unit, which is part of the Metro NY Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders and is recognized as a Center of Excellence, is to deliver superior evidence-based patient care; support state-of-the-art mental health research activities; and educate medical students, psychiatric residents, and psychology interns and externs in the treatment of individuals with severe eating disorders. The Attending NP will provide direct psychiatric care to patients admitted to the EDU and will also work with postgraduate trainees in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with severe eating disorders. Experience working with patients with eating disorders and with child/adolescent patients preferred.
