Speech-Language Pathologists
The New York State Dept. of Corrections and Community Supervision is seeking the services of one speech pathologist at Coxsackie Correctional Facility in Greene County, NY. This will be a per diem position as services are needed.
The successful candidate must possess a valid degree and required New York State licensure. Current resume(s) must be submitted with the bid. Background check and fingerprinting will be required before work schedule commences. Duties to be performed include: Assessing and treating persons with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs Recommending and assisting in obtaining other services as deemed necessary May need to perform special education assessments and present findings to a Committee on Special Education May select and recommend alternative communication systems and teach their use May perform research related to speech and language problems and present results of such research The award will be made to the bidder whom the facility feels provides the best overall value based on a combination of price and candidate qualifications. Initial estimated service dates are for 6/15/2025-6/14/2026, however services may be extended for up to a total of two years at the same rates upon mutual agreement between the hiring agency and awarded vendor(s). Resumes strongly preferred, but not required in order to submit a bid. Resumes should be included for any candidates currently available.
