Nurses, Registered
Candidates will be required to provide general nursing care in a behavioral health setting. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct patient care and oversight of care provided. - Medication administration. - Transcription of orders. - Documentation of patient care, issues, admissions, assessments, screenings, progress notes, medications. - Oversight of patient care and patient care assignments. - Day shift to attend all treatment team meetings and acuity meetings. - Update all treatment plans and Nursing POCs and make sure follow up interventions are taking place (documentation in the chart to support nursing interventions). - Assigned to train/precept newly hired RNs (oversee training on the floor when assigned to shadow/observe a RN1, LPN or MHTA). - Will be responsible for completing documentation audits and following up with staff and nursing supervisors on all deficiencies for patients on their assigned. unit. - Will complete the annual assessments on patients on their assigned units. - Will complete assigned probation reports and evaluations on LPNs. - Will, in conjunction with the nursing supervisors/supervisors, provide feedback on performance/evaluations for RN1s, MHTA, SHTAs. - Complete all required OMH/RPC training. - Manage and direct medical and psychiatric emergencies. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have: - License and current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS. - Current CPR card. - At least one year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred. | ||||||
