Duration: 12+ months Location: Greensboro, NC 27409 Coolant Transfer Engineer for Thermal Component's HW As a Coolant Transfer Design Engineer for Thermal Hardware, you will provide professional expertise in Mechanical design for coolant transfer lines (including routing and bracketry), collaborating with other designers in developing and implementing thermal management solutions for Company. In this position, the engineer's responsibility is to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve high-quality delivery of products. Coolant transfer systems are essential for heat exchangers and any other component requiring coolant/energy exchange to ensure thermal system balance and efficiency. Responsibilities Full design ownership of coolant transfer system from cradle to grave Lead continuous improvement activities (process, tools, methods) and foster innovation for Quality, Mass, and Cost initiatives. Coordinate activities and requirements amongst Design groups and Application centre, to develop a balanced coolant distribution routing to meet functional thermal management system. Delivering project activities and milestones on time and according to budget Problem-solve and determine best methods to validate designs. Document best practices and create know-how initiatives. Ability to manage tasks using analytical and critical thinking skills. Education and Experience BS. in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum 2 years of related professional experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Good understanding of physics principles for heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics for EV systems. Minimum 2 Years experience in thermal systems engineering, preferably in the EV automotive or Trucking Industry related to hardware design/release and troubleshooting. Demonstrated experience in setting up new and innovative processes and/or methodologies. Expertise in design documentation and product data management experience Advance CAD (PTC CREO preferred) experience is required. Work understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Ability to read, interpret, and generate engineering documents like drawings including technical specifications like, Test and Validation Procedures and design's best practices. Professional Skills Leading Design Reviews of Automotive/Trucking Industry components internal/external stakeholders (preferably Coolant Transfers systems) Good interpretation of Technical Requirements for vehicle components, subsystems, and full systems Able to conduct and lead DFMEA's. Working knowledge of how cooling circuits function with Electric vehicles Demonstrated ability to lead design components and systems with minimal support Problem Solving Cross Collaboration MS Office | ||||||||
