Mail Clerks, Except Mail Machine Operators and Postal Service
The Bureau of Operations Services staff operate state of the art high-volume print and mail center equipment used to print and mail paychecks, direct deposits, pension payments, vendor payments, federal tax documents, general business correspondence, and reports. Temporary staffing is being requested to assist mail center staff with processing outgoing mail during their heavy processing season in order to help meet mandated deadlines. The duties required for these positions are:
• Prepare incoming and outgoing mail for distribution. • Open, read, sort, and route mail; • Keep necessary records and completed forms. • Prepare presorted mail for US Government Client. • Retrieve print jobs from print operators & deliver them to the appropriate areas (e.g., delivery doc, mail center etc.) • Forwards misdirected mail. • Prepare & distribute communications with customers. • Complete administrative tasks (e.g., filling out reconciliation reports, ordering supplies etc.). Other job duties as assigned. **Hours - 6:00am - 2:00pm (Monday - Friday)** **Duration: may be extended to be up to 12 months total** Minimum Qualifications desired: • High School diploma • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly during mail preparation. • Ability to prepare and maintain standard records and reports. • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. **Background Checks Required** | ||||||
