Facilities Maintenance Technician I
Location: Livonia MI 48150
Duration: 12+ months with high possibility of extension or FTE
Shift: Monday to Friday (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) (Some Saturday if needed)

Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician I will perform general maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry, office furniture assemblies, heating ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) routine inspections, and groundskeeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide facilities maintenance support such as plumbing, carpentry, door hardware, office furniture assemblies, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) routine inspections.
· Perform minor groundskeeping and equipment troubleshooting.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):
· High school diploma or equivalent level of education.
· Minimum six months' facilities maintenance experience or equivalent in class instruction.
· Able to solve practical problems and diagnose basic plumbing, electrical and equipment malfunctions (such as a tire machine or vehicle hoist).
· Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement, including fractions.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Basic skills in the use of power and hand tools.
· Basic power and hand tools required, with tool list to be provided upon hire.
· Basic computer skills to enter information into a work order system and research repair
· methods as needed.
· Good driving record and reliable transportation.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred):
· Skilled in the use of a forklift and scissor lift.
· General maintenance experience.
