Job Title: Solution Architect
Location: Dearborn, MI
Work with multiple cross functional teams to translate business strategies and requirements into solutions, articulating technical vision and strategy.
Develop prototype code to validate architectural design decisions, ensuring maintainability, performance, security, scalability and time to market.
Provide technology leadership and mentoring to the development team on multiple projects.
Work with customer architecture team, internal infrastructure team and operational teams to ensure a successful launch of new systems.
Research and evaluate competitive products, evolving technologies, standards and understand their impact on current and future automotive solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with management, development staff, and customers.
10+ years of software development experience.
8+ years of enterprise architecture design involving relational database, service and data integrations with external systems.
5+years of experience in Dealer Portal and portal standards including JSR168, JSR286.
Good experience with Identity management systems.
Solid understanding of system performance, scalability, security, availability and operability in a clustering environment.
Hands on experiences in build and deployment processes in the Unix/Linux environment.
Experiences in configuration management and continuous integration and automated build tools.
Familiar with industrial Java coding standard and experience in code review and code quality control.
Hands on experiences in Web Services, XML and data persistence layer framework design and development.
Deep understanding of web and application server technologies, including open source technologies.
Extensive Java server side design and development experience.
Application development leadership experience, ability to lead a small development team.
Ability to work in a very dynamic, flexible and creative environment.
Driven self starter and a team player. Enjoys a leadership role with a high degree of technical ownership.
Ability to analyze new technologies, emerging standards and market trends, and understand how they affect products today and in the future.
Critical problem solver with the ability to recognize and anticipate problems (technical, operational, process, organizational) and to identify and implement the best solution in a timely manner.
